The U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) free meal program will end for all students this August.
However, students who qualify for free or reduced meals will still have access to reduced cost or free meals. If your student qualifies for free and reduced breakfast and lunch, you can fill out an application in August. We will send out more information as the new school year approaches.
The free school meals program, initially introduced in March of 2020 as the pandemic began, was not included in the spending bill recently passed by the Senate. This means that free meals for all students will expire after the 2022 summer school session.
