BEAF, Bolivar Educational Advancement Foundaion, is the non-profit foundation for the school district. Individuals, businesses, and corporations can make donations to BEAF.
The BEAF board is made up of seven individuals from the community: Brady Vestal, Carrie Douglas, Tammy Callaway, Teresa Parson, Marty Garrison, Kyle Lancaster, Jenny Williams, and Dr. Asbill.
BEAF has 15 different scholarships that are provided to graduating seniors every year. This past year, BEAF provided just over $60,000 in scholarships to graduating Bolivar seniors. BEAF also provides school and teacher grants every year for around $20,000.
There is a number of ways that you can donate to BEAF. You can visit their website at bolivarschoolsfoundation.org. On the website, there is a donation page. There is a PayPal donation opportunity, individuals can contact board members to donate, and BEAF also partners with Amazon. Amazon Smile is a program where Amazon will donate a percentage of your purchases to a designated non-profit organization. When you go to smile.amazon.com, you can search for Bolivar Educational Advancement Foundation and connect BEAF to your account. Then, for every purchase you make Amazon will match a small percentage as a donation to that foundation. BEAF is also looking to partner with individuals through estate planning.
